Hannah Robinson is a singer-songwriter whose songs blend her distinctive voice, nonchalant, percussive guitar style, soulful melodies and lyrics rich with imagery.
2020 saw the release of the single ‘Run on Child’, following 2019’s ‘Endless Street’ - a four track EP featuring musicians Scott McKeon, Stephen Darrell Smith, Stuart Ross and Russ Parker, mixed by Paul Stacey (Oasis, The Black Crowes).
‘Endless Street’ saw Hannah’s sound grow with expression and atmosphere, following on from her 2015 EP, ‘Water, Carry Me’, and her debut album, ‘Oil and Turpentine’, released in 2012.
Also a studio and live session singer, Hannah sings and plays guitar for John Illsley, founding member of Dire Straits, touring the UK and Europe.
2021 will see the release of two new singles as Hannah writes for her next record.
“Some artists have a voice that can stop you in your tracks. Hannah is one - smoky, full of colour, addressing you from the early hours.” – The Musician
“Hannah Robinson has a great voice. Challenging those wailing vocalists, Hannah’s bluesy lilt is altogether more subtle and more affecting. Country-tinged opener ‘Curious’ on Water, Carry Me is great.” – R2 Magazine
“…a luxuriant mood of wistful Americana.” – The Musician
“An engaging performer and songwriter whose songs of love going right and/or wrong have universal resonance, she’s also a fine singer and guitarist with a bright future.” – R2 Magazine
“Strong on melody and bringing a carefully-honed, electric edge to her live, acoustic persona… The future looks bright for Hannah Robinson” – Acoustic Magazine
“A really contemporary voice… Bags of personality” – BBC Introducing: The South
